Started by two occupational therapists, PlayWell Brooklyn was sparked from a desire to bring integrated play to our community and families! Born from a passion for inclusivity and wellness, we believe that play is an essential part of a child's development and has many benefits for both children and adults.
Rita is a dedicated pediatric occupational therapist with over 10 years of experience in New York City. She is passionate about helping children overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Rita believes in the power of play-based therapy and intervention, recognizing that children learn best through engaging and enjoyable activities.
Jeannie is a Play Coach at PlayWell. She graduated from Hunter College with a degree in Psychology and a focus in cognitive development. Jeannie is passionate about making mental health resources accessible for everyone, and avidly supports PlayWell's mission of inclusivity and wellness through play.
Isabel is a Play Coach at PlayWell and a master’s student at the Silberman School of Social Work, dedicated to empowering marginalized communities through connection & compassion. Isabel received her bachelor's degree in psychology from UC Santa Barbara, where she conducted innovative research about decision-making patterns in eating disorders.
